that this type of patterrn will continue till 2011
The change in the pattern has caused a lot of positive changes. More students are appearing in IIT JEE. The impact of coaching has reduced.

hello!what is the eligibility criteria for IIT-JEE 2011? I know thta it was 60% till 2010 but kapil sibal sir had suggested that it will be raised to 80 to 85% from 2011.But he wasnt sure and this decision was left to the IIT institute.So is it that the eligibility criteria can be changed to 80% from 2011 onwards? Or will it reamin to 60% for 2011??

i have passed my class 12 in 2010. i secured 95% marks in PCM but i could not make it to iit. i have decided to drop a year n prepare for d next year. this year i scored 142 in jee. maths is my weak area. i would like to know how i can improve my maths n what should be my plan of study for the next nine months. also if u could suggest me some books in maths.Practice is the only way to improve maths.

HOW MANY STUDENTS OF QUEST TUTORIALS GOT SELECTED IN IIT-JEE 2010no coaching exceeds the 2% selection percentage
Some coaching classes try to do window dressing by selecting 2% students. Whether they attend coaching or not, such students would make it thru anyway.
Quest also does about 2% selections in IITJEE.
We must understand that coaching is a support system.

Is IIT-JEE pattern changing 2011 onwards?IITJEE is changing continuously. They are planning to scrap it by 2013. There may be a single entrance exam for all colleges. They may also increase the weightage of Class 11/12 substantially.

sir,how much percent marks should i get in your papers so that i can say my preparation for iit is up to the level.The preparation for IIT JEE is never complete. The minimum required marks in papers keep changing depending on the difficulty level.

My daughter aiming for IITJEE2012 and has joined Brilliant corres course but she finds it very hard and unable to understand the subject. Please help me.Brilliants should be attempted only after the student has completed the readings of the school textbooks. IITJEE material is typically the 2nd step of preparation. The first step is always the basics of Class XI & XII. Please put the BT course material aside. Complete the school level preparation. After you have done it to the level of being among the toppers, start attempting the BT material.
Online setups are not ready yet. Most of your BT problems also can be solved by local faculty members.

I have passed 12th in (Karnataka) state syllabus.I got 48% overall and 53% in PCM. My teachers tell me that i can score even good marks & i am a bright student from the begining. Thats why i had withdrawn all my PCM and rewriting them in 2011. Am i eligible to take IIT-JEE 2011? Already i have started to prepare for IIT.Nopes. IITs require more than 60% in Class 12. I am in senior intermediate . In first year I only concentrated on my college studies .
Also I did not take any sort of coaching for IIT JEE till now . I have always been following NCERT books right from the starting of first year . My doubt is if I continue the same way I mean reading NCERT books perfectly and solving questions from the back of the book , Can I crack JEE in 2011 ? My dream is to do B.Arch from IIT ROORKEE . Also I have taken the POSTAL GUIDANCE COURSE by UNIVERSITY PUBLICATIONS ROORKEE ( IIT ROORKEE ).
And if a student follows NCERT text books sincerely can he make it to the IIT"s......

There is no formula for success. The key is to keep working to ensure that you cover the entire course. Do not try to do too much stuff. Limit the material that you use.

All you need is a single IITJEE course material on the new IITJEE pattern that is time managed with a view that a student can complete it.
Most books and course materials have so many problems that no student can complete them in 4 years.
Just limit yourself to your school textbooks and the IITJEE course material. The trick is in doing the work.
Most coaching classes end up wasting a student's precious time.

I live in Kashmir.I study in class 12th.I have not studied my class 11th nicely.I was not relly serious about studies and IIT JEE.But now this is the only thing i have to do.what should I do now.Should i study 11th or 12th.Usually I get stuck in question,what should I do then.When. it happens i feel like I cannot qualify IIT.I find maths very difficult.

which book should be prefered for iit-jee: RD SHARMA;ML KHANNA OR TMH.

sir, i am 12 class pcm group student. i had not taken bio in my subjects. i badly want bio so as to appear for medical stream. the only option in front of me is to whether take gap when just 30 days remained for board or continue pcm to avoid criticism from society of my family. in 10 i secured 95% marks. sir please tell what shud i do now i am totally frustrated over my decision to go engineering group. please reply

| sir.. i passed 12th in 2010..but i gave aieee in 2009 also when i was in class 11th to overcome fear and hesitation....then in 2010 then i dropped so gave aieee 2011... but i m not satisfied with my college(DCRUST) mech..... i filled AIEEE this year also..but my form is not recieved theri..i m tensed that it may got cancelled.... so sir can u pls tell me that I M ELEGIBLE OR NOT THIS YEAR...???In stead of chasing AIEEE again, I recommend that you prepare for a masters from a good university in India or outside. | sir, i m a student of vibrant academy kota.......preparing for iit jee. I hve heard a lot of news on changing pattern of iit frm 2013 onwards. Can u please provide the right information reguarding this and please suggest me what should i do?The pattern change in 2006 was enough to make Kota coaching methodology irrelevant. Kota was designed for droppers. After 2006, students needed to be strong in Class XI/XII in order to crack IITJEE also. The dummy school concept of Kota is hurting students very badly. for 2013, Kota is actually very harmful. Students will encounter a paper similar to AIEEE. There may be additional weightage for school marks. Every student in Kota should run back hoome and cover their basics of school level from NCERT or any other textbook.
