According to the information provided by the IITs on the JEE (Advanced) website (jeeadv.iitd.ac.in), the cut-off marks for various boards to qualify for JEE (Advanced) – 2013 are pasted below.

This is as per the data provided to IITs by he different boards

They vary from 53% of Tripura board to 91.8% for AP board (GE category)

Clearly, this makes the performance in Class XII an extremely important criteria for getting admission in IITs

    I KNOW ITS TOO EARLY FOR ASKING THESE QUESTIONS.
    BUT MY ESTIMATED MARKS FOR CBSE BOARD FROM OBC CATEGORY IS 400 OUT OF 500 .
    ITS MY FIRST TIME IN GIVING BOARD EXAM ,.
    IF I DIDN’T PASS THE 20 PERCENTILE CRITERIA , WHAT SHOULD I DO FOR GETTING ADMISSION IN IIT .
    AFTER FAILING IN TOP 20 PERCENTILE CRITERIA IS IT GOOD TO DROP ONE YEAR. PLS REPLY SOON

    I know it is too late to answer this question but it is never a good idea to drop an year. Please plan to get in this year itself.

    does it really matter to qualify in main that from which board you are giving the examination, i mean as i will be appearing for my +2 in 2015 cbse board so does it make any difficulty for me if i appear from cbse rather than rajasthan board . reply soon.

    i got 74.6 % in 12th in mp board ..so tell me that if i will clear the cut off of jee mains then i will sit on jee advance or not with this percent…in 2015…………please give the ans i need ur help…
