Faculty of Nirma Instituite of Technology and other engineering institutes of the state are attending the lectures and workshops conducted by the faculty of Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B) right in the city.
Nirma University is one of the remote centres of the ISRO-IITB EDUSAT network, the lectures that are conducted in IIT-B are being received by the Institute of Technology at Nirma University. The two-week ISTE workshop was launched on June 28 and will continue till July 10. The workshop is on the topic, Effective teaching/ learning of Computer Programming’.
The objective of the workshop is to integrate computer programming with the main stream subjects and increase the scope of the institute. This will also build the desired work force for the upcoming and ever expanding engineering education sector. This programme, National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT), has been launched by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) to raise the level of Education in the country with an outlay Rs 4,600 crore over next three years.
